KARANGPAWITAN is about the personal experiences of Xin Lie and his closest people who tell about a life in a sub-village around Garut that seems to make no sense at all, taboo to talk about, but happened in their real life.

About Xin Lie:

Bandung-born, DJ & producer, Diannov Pamungkas made his appearance with the moniker Xin Lie when he started actively hosting radio broadcasts with local DJ collective, C*SSS. He made his DJ debut at the hardcore punk shows where he grew up with. Later, his childhood memories brought him through the performance of Reak / Kuda Renggong, a traditional Sundanese performing art featuring a group of horsemen. Soon thereafter, he began his self-recording of Dogdog (long tubular single-headed leather drums) and began sampling & developing his own style of percussion sounds, driving his personal rhythm with influences from contemporary club culture.
